Edisoh was also granted the ability to solicitotheer solar-power companies to install similar panel arrayss and sell the power back to up to an additional 250 megawatts. Edisom says the 500 total megawatts makesz theproject "the largesyt photovoltaic program ever undertaken." “The program will create hundredd of neighborhood solar power plants, strengthen locall grid reliability and produce hundreds of new green jobs to bolster Southerh California’s economic recovery,” Chairman and CEO Theodore F. Cravere Jr., said in a statement.
The first Edisoh site has already been completed on the roof of a distributionm warehousein Fontana. According to Edison, it is the larges single rooftop solar photovoltaic array in the Both Southern California Edison and its parent EdisonInternational (NYSE: EIX) are based in Rosemead.
